GAME SHOW HOST SCENARIO - HOW IT WORKS

SETTING THE SCENE

An ambush murder mystery begins in the guise of some other purpose. Growing in popularity is that of our providing a game show host for the evening. It is a little more expensive than our stand-up comedian scenario due to the needs of game shows and the associated skills required of the host. The game show host is there with his girlfriend, who he refers to as his Vanna. They have a nice time with the attendees and run a couple of Minute-To-Win-It styled games. These are small physical challenges. During cocktails and the beginning of the meal these characters are having a nice time mingling with the crowd. There are other characters as well, such as an assistant who believes himself to be as good as the host, who also are outgoing and entertaining people in conversation.

THE "OH NO!" MOMENT

During the actual meal, the Game Show Host's wife appears and confronts the couple. Instead of a major argument, the comedian claims that the girlfriend is actually just there to take photos or his make-up artist. Tension builds as audience members struggle with the moral implications of not saying anything. The characters continue to grow the problems between them and walk a fine line to try to cause tension but not to the point that audience members intercede.

THE CRIME

The game show host gets up to perform another game at the beginning of dessert. The game show brings up a couple of contestants, usually people we want involved in the mystery. The host states that before he performs he wants to make a toast since this is the last game of the evening. He takes a drink of water and dies. At that point the audience is made aware that it is a murder mystery. After all, we don't want them calling the police!

SOLVING THE CRIME

The comedic detective takes over. Often, this is played by the victim. The detective pulls people up and does a comedy routine to get information out about the crime with the help of the audience. Once the suspects are narrowed down, the audience is asked to determine the murderer for the chance to win not-very-expensive prizes!

We discuss with you ahead of time issues for the space so that we can make the game show work properly. This would include finding out any concerns that you might have. We have some of these games that can get messy and we want you to remain comfortable. Therefore, these games will all be explained and approved as we enter the process of contracting for the event.

The audience believes that a comedian was hired for the evening and he shows up with his girlfriend. It's all fine until his wife arrives! Similarly, we have a Game Show Host scenario and a Dueling Comedians scenario.

Our team appears at your party with the CEO of the company taking over your company. It's a very fun way to face down rumors of problems in the company. After all, if management can joke about it, the rumors must be false!

We come in and provide a real team building workshop, or moderate an employee activity. The team builders have problems among them and your employees see the team building group unravel and then help pick up the pieces.

The bartender at a rehearsal dinner or reception used to date the bride. Uh oh! Obviously the bride will be in on the mayhem, but it's a way to puncture the stress bubble that often surrounds exchanging vows.

Having caterers engaged in an event is perfectly normal. A little less normal is for everyone at the party getting drawn into the drama of the caterers. Their tension leads to homicide followed by a comedic investigation!

We have the ability to create just about any scenario for your group. We've done all kinds of Keynote Speakers, other entertainers, family members and romantic interests. Simply ask. There is never an obligation until we get a signed contract.

Even though we have those themes, really we customize to you and can develop any scenario. Our cost can fluctuate greatly as we adjust the number of actors and the various skills that they might have to have to meet the needs of your scenario. Simply discuss these options with our director to learn more.
Likewise, the scripts can be adjusted to bring your audience members under suspicion. They can be interrogated and engaged in a roast type of environment. They can be found innocent by the audience with them getting applause. If you prefer, we can keep them as key suspects by using information known about their past to dig them deeper into the murder mystery.

This includes in the big cities, the suburbs, or further outside the urban areas. We do not provide the food or the venue. We come to you and help you to succeed in business without really trying!

WE COME TO YOU!
We work with groups that are small, medium and large. We also work with people that are in the city, the suburbs, and that are in more rural areas. It never made sense to get our own facilities. We come to a venue of your choosing and this allows you to make your own food and beverage options. In general, you want enough light to see, enough space to move around comfortably, and it should be quiet enough to hear. Everything else can be adjusted to. We also have our insurance in order and can have COIs with your venue as an additional insured, if required.

The first step is to determine your needs. This includes potential goals, desires and concerns. The more we know about what has already been decided can allow us to narrow the conversation to approaches that interest you.

WHAT ARE THE DETAILS? WHERE? WHEN? HOW MANY PEOPLE?

We need to know the city where the event will be as well as what kind of venue might be used. A date, or date range, for when you would like to have this and what time frame you are looking for will help to determine our commitment and availability. Knowing the size of your group, though that will likely just be an estimate, will allow us to choose appropriate options and have a better feel for the resources required.

DO YOU HAVE A BUDGET IN MIND?

If you know budget limitations, that can allow us to restrict the conversations to those options that will be within your financial constraints. This works in both directions. We don't want to overbuild and propose options that can't be done. Also, we don't want to provide less than we could realizing the resources that could be made available to better achieve your goals.
