THEY improv to Participate in Conscious Artist Collective Groove Series to benefit Darfur on July 19th.

Hollywood, FL: THEY improv, South Florida's leaders in corporate comedy entertainment, joins with artists from throughout the area to benefit Darfur, Sudan.

The Conscious Artist Collective, three-part groove series which focuses on Darfur, Sudan, continues with world music band Jahfe and nationally recognized comedy company THEY Improv on Thursday, July 19th at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center. The event begins at 7pm with THEY improv performing later in the show. The theater is located at 1770 Monroe St. Hollywood. Amidst live music, spoken poetry, cocktails and comedy, people gather to meet, laugh, and learn about the current upsetting climate of Darfur, Sudan.

The successful opening for the series led THEY Improv to perform for the next two events. "THEY Improv is the perfect counter-balance to the heavy subject-matter presented at the event," says Event Co-producer, Gustavo David Ortiz, "the comedy allowed all that built-up emotion to be released through laughter, and everyone left feeling uplifted and full of positive energy."

Host and spoken word artist Wilkine Brutus will continue to welcome audiences for the next two events.

Artists from all over South Florida have stepped up to the plate including THEY Improv, The American Poets, Jahfe, Kaponeisill, WorkEthic, Jedi Outcast Crew, just to name a few.
