Miami, FL: THEY improv, South Florida's preeminent improv troupe, continues their effort at changing the face of comedy in South Florida with their benefit performance for The American Cancer Society Relay For Life on August 11th in the Crystal Room at the Elk's Club at 10301 Sunset Drive in Miami.
The evening will feature THEY improv along with some stand-up and surprises that will keep the audience roaring with laughter with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. The evening is sponsored team: Mission
Not Impossible of the East Kendall Relay For Life.
More than 3.5 million people in 4,800 communities nationwide have joined the Relay For Life effort to eliminate cancer in our lifetimes. Teams of families, friends and coworkers join together to CELEBRATE the lives of those who have battled cancer, REMEMBER those lost and FIGHT BACK against a disease that takes too much from far too many.
"When you look at a disease like cancer, it is easy to become overwhelmed," said THEY improv Director Todd Rice. "The Relay is all about celebrating life and coming together to provide support and encouragement to those fighting the battle. THEY improv is happy to be part of any team effort that looks to do this much good. Together, the Mission is NOT Impossible."
The THEY improv '
Comedy With a Cause' program continues to raise money for charities while changing the face of comedy in South Florida. The program has helped local and national charities find funds and attention for their causes while entertaining audiences at some of South Florida's most prestigious venues.
"We are excited to have THEY improv help us in this effort," said Mission Not Impossible team member Sandy Paster. "Together we can raise some more money and awareness for this worthwhile cause. Come spend an evening of enjoyment and join our team in helping make a difference."
Tickets for the event are $25 each with all the proceeds going to the organization. There is no drink minimum or age restriction for the event. Tickets can be obtained by contacting Marsha at (305) 790-7696.
The event is being held at the Elk's Lodge in the Crystal Room. The lodge is located at 10301 Sunset Drive in Miami.
