THEY improv to Perform the 2nd Annual Gilda's Club Improv Benefit at the Hard Rock Improv in Hollywood on July 19th.
Hollywood, FL: THEY improv, Broward County's improv troupe, continues their effort at changing the face of comedy in South Florida with their benefit performance for Gilda's Club South Florida on July 19th at 8pm at the Seminole Paradise Improv in Hollywood, Florida (doors open at 7pm).
The shows THEY improv has performed at The Improv have earned a reputation as being wildly entertaining and raising tens of thousands of dollars for charity. This show will feature 90 minutes of comedy that will raise money for Gilda's Club of South Florida. All ticket sales are being conducted directly by Gilda's Club and are going fast. Gilda's Club's mission is to provide a place where men, women and children living with cancer and their families and friends join with others to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical care. Activities and events are free to members and are offered in a non-residential home-like setting. Gilda's Club is a free social and emotional support community named for Gilda Radner. Comedy With a Cause' program continues to raise money for charities while changing the face of comedy in South Florida. The program has helped local and national charities find funds and attention for their causes while entertaining audiences at some of South Florida's most prestigious venues.
"Gilda's Club remains one of our favorite organizations to work with," said THEY Director Todd Rice. "Not only will this be my fourth benefit performance for them, I've taught an improv class there and we regularly donate tickets for them to raise additional funds. They do amazing work right here in our community and we're happy to do whatever we can to help."
