July 22, 2005 - THEY improv announces cast for "THEY are not kidding around" to benefit the Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre on August 6th at 8pm

THEY improv brings improvised comedy back to Fort Lauderdale with a cast comprised of some of the most experienced improvisers in South Florida to benefit the Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre at 8pm on Saturday, August 6th at the FLCT Studio Theatre (640 North Andrews) in Fort Lauderdale.

In "THEY are not kidding around," THEY will perform 90-minutes of improvised comedy based on audience suggestions that will kick off a wave of comedy destined to overtake Broward County.

But who are THEY?

"THEY improv includes some of the best talent around," says founder and Director Todd Rice. "With years of experience and involvement in almost every improv troupe that's been around in South Florida."

The troupe comprises members that include on their resumes Laughing Gas, Just the Funny, Impromedy, Name Change Pending, Punch 59, Sketch and Soda, STD's, and many more.

"Unfortunately, audiences in Fort Lauderdale haven't been able to see these other troupes," said Rice. "If you are outside of Fort Lauderdale, you should see those shows. If you are in Fort Lauderdale, you have to see it when THEY improv."

The cast consists of James Carrey, AJ Navarrete, Ethan Smith, Andrew Sottilare, Maryann Tatum, Valerie Zach, Ed Zeltner and is directed by Todd Rice.

The show will consist of some pieces that have never been performed anywhere in the world along with some proven audience favorites, all for a low cost of only $7!

There will be a little bit of something for everyone...no kidding!

About THEY improv
THEY improv is an informal group of actors getting together and performing improv, often for charities and always for the betterment of everyone. For now there is no corporate structure and no financial relationship, with their first several performances to be done for charities and the money never even being seen by the troupe. Marketing funds and efforts will either be donated by the members or provided by the charities themselves.
