June 28, 2005 - THEY improv to present "THEY are not kidding around" to benefit the Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre

THEY improv brings improvised comedy back to Fort Lauderdale in a benefit to raise money for the Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre at 8pm on either Friday, August 5th, or Saturday, August 6th at the FLCT Studio Theatre (640 North Andrews in Fort Lauderdale). The final date choice will be announced over the next couple of weeks.

In "THEY are not kidding around," THEY will perform 90-minutes of improvised comedy based on audience suggestions that will kick off a wave of comedy that will overtake Broward County.

"The improv comedy revolution is coming, and THEY will lead the charge," says founder and Director Todd Rice. "Broward can resist, but as everyone knows, the harder you try not to laugh, the more you need to."

The show will consist of some pieces that have never been performed anywhere in the world along with some audience favorites.

There will be a little bit of something for everyone...no kidding!

THEY is an informal group of actors getting together and performing improv. For now there is no structure and no financial relationship, with their first several performances to be done for charities and the money never even being seen by the troupe. Marketing funds will either be donated by the members or provided by the charities themselves.
